The majority of us who’ve had children know that if we want our little ones to perform, positive input is vital.
Even as adults, if we hear enough negative criticism, we shut down and become ineffective. How we phrase our observations over behaviours can either produce the results we are after or seem to make things far worse.
According to research, the ideal praise-to-criticism ratio is 5:1. Meaning, for every negative comment you make, you need to share five positive comments as well.
Only positive feedback can motivate people to continue doing what they’re doing well, and do it with more vigour, determination, and creativity.
And I don’t think this works just for children either! Working with our clients to build their dream homes, helping them transition to a simpler lifestyle is one of the most rewarding things we’ve ever done.
Inadvertently things don’t always go exactly to plan, and we work with our staff, contractors and clients to ensure a great outcome. And just like any of you, we respond much better to respectful conversation and a positive attitude.
Maybe in the future all homes will be constructed by robotic machines, but until then, human beings are responsible for the home’s development, and there is always a margin for error.
Judging by the testimonials from our clients to date, we are doing well, and getting better each time, at ensuring consistent quality in what we believe are the biggest tiny homes and most liveable long-term in Australia. The fact that our homes don’t come up on the secondary market is, we believe, a testament to our clients’ pleasure in them.
Every few months, we look back over our reviews and feedback to see where we can lift, where we can sharpen our pencil so to speak!
So if you would like to let us know of any areas we can improve, please email us!
And if you have a moment, we would truly love a 5-star review over on our google page here: https://g.page/r/Ce-fxyhl4FQWEB0/review
(...because a few people we’ve never met, and who have never set foot in our homes, have decided they wanted to bestow on us 1-star - which means our overall ranking is reduced. Sadly we cannot remove them, we just feel sorry for people who spend their days bringing down others' hard work!)
There are two things people want more than sex and money... recognition and praise.
